Really? “1993’s failed Newton handheld” is a blotch on Steve Jobs’s résumé? The same Steve Jobs who was booted from Apple in 1985 and didn’t return until 1996, and whose only involvement with the Newton was to pull the plug on it?

How long has this been going on? In order to attach an image of a suitable size to an email simply attach original then select “Medium” from the drop down bottom right. The image is re-sized automatically and re-attached. I had no idea Apple Mail could do that.

I was alerted to the fact that it is possible to open an image in Photoshop from within the Aperture application. Simply hit Shift/Apple/O. This is a shortcut for “edit in external application” and once Photoshop is selected in Aperture prefs you are away. Thanks to S. Gery, a relative newcommer to digital imaging.
